to the chamber pot to the water closet to the computerized modern
toilet with DVD player, Internet access and extra-wide seating
capacity. History Channel.

In the finale, the final two contestants face off in a seven round
bout. Due to low ratings, show will not be returning in the fall. They
probably should have gone straight to gladiator combat. A few lions,
some whips and an arena are proven crowd pleasers. NBC.
7 p.m. “American Idol”
The final two contestants sing their hearts out before tomorrow’s big
vote. It’s a rare thing to see this kind of desperately earnest
performance outside the Michael Jackson trial. Fox.
9:30 p.m. “Rapid Fire”
The true story of a Southern California bank robbery that turned into
a wild police pursuit is dramatized in a made-for-TV movie featuring
the kind of gratuitous violence a TV news reporter waits his whole
life for. (2005) USA Network.
8 p.m. “Rob and Amber Get Married”
“Survivor” alumns Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich marry. Instead of an
immunity challenge, they have a prenuptial agreement. But they still
serve grubs at the reception. CBS
