A display of some of the largest elk mounts and seminars by noted elk-hunting experts will highlight a July 29-31 event aimed at promoting funding and membership for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Set for the Gander Mountain store in Thornton, 9923 Grant St., the event features four-time calling champion Dieter Kaboth, author Jay Houston and Chris Roe of Primos game calls.

The taxidermy display will be available when the store opens at 9 a.m. July 29. A July 30 calling competition will begin at 10 a.m., followed by 1 p.m. seminar sessions. Other seminars are scheduled July 31 at times to be announced. For information, call 303-450-8122.
