Where: Whale Watching in Banderas Bay, Mexico (off the coast of Punta Mita)
Out and about: We were there in prime whale watching season and were lucky enough to encounter humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles and giant manta rays just off the coast of Punta Mita. Back on shore, the beaches are pristine and beautiful and free of the crowds of the other mega resort areas of Mexico.
Travel tip: If you opt for the half day whale watching trip go in the afternoon so the boat doesn’t have to rush back and pick up the next group. You’ll be able to linger out with the whales a bit longer.
