Out and about: We recently attended Mardi Gras in, where Suzanne was born and raised. Mardi Gras originated in Mobile, contrary to popular belief. This year, we were lucky enough to get to ride in the parade. It was a blast. The next best thing to being a rock star! The picture was taken on February 6, just before our “ride” on the float. The theme was the Super Bowl; our costumes depict players and referees.
If you’ve never been, you must experience it! It’s fun for all ages. Mobiles Mardi Gras is not the same type of atmosphere of New Orleans; but good times await all! Beads, trinkets, toys, stuffed animals, cups and more beads are what the float riders throw!
