Lawyers for the University of Colorado filed documents in federal court Friday saying opposing lawyers were relying on irrelevant allegations, inaccuracies and speculation in an effort to reinstate a Title IX lawsuit against the school. The university contends it has been candid and did not mislead the plaintiffs, who accuse the school of covering up evidence.
Lisa Simpson and another woman, who say they were sexually assaulted by football players or recruits, are asking the judge to look at key evidence of “additional sexual harassment in CU’s football program” that they say CU is refusing to turn over. The case was dismissed in March.
