Colorado College upset 17th-ranked Carleton College and beat the University of California-Santa Cruz to win the Pikes Peak Invitational on Saturday.
The Tigers defeated Carleton, 30-25, 30-28, 30-28 in the championship match. Sarah Morrill led the Tigers with 11 kills in the final match. Ashley Ferrington notched a team-high 20 digs, while Anna Clithero hit 10 kills and 11 digs.
Chill’s Hammon re-ups
The Colorado Chill of the National Women’s Basketball League announced it re-signed WNBA all-star Becky Hammon for a third year. Hammon just completed her sixth season with the WNBA’s New York Liberty, averaging 13.9 points.
