Colorado Springs – Marty Sertich scored on two power plays Saturday night to help lead Colorado College to a 6-3 win over crosstown rival Air Force.

Air Force jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first period.

With 3:33 remaining in the first, Colorado College cut the Falcons’ lead to 2-1 when Sertich scored from Chad Rau and Brian Salcido.

The Tigers took advantage of two 5-on-3 opportunities in the second period and built a 4-2 lead.

Colorado College took a 5-3 lead early in the third period on a power play. Five minutes later, Sertich scored on another power play, assisted by Brett Sterling and Salcido.

Colorado College outshot Air Force 40-14. The Tigers were 5-for-12 on the power play while Air Force was 2-for-9.

Ian Harper had 34 saves for Air Force. Drew O’Connell, who played the first two periods for Colorado College, made 10 saves.

Chris Kawano, who played the final 20 minutes, made one save.
