Purple heart veteran, Sgt. Jaime Centeno Jr. is now stationed in Ft. Carson after being sent back from Iraq in November 2004. After his Humvee was struck by a homemade bomb on the road on their way to a mission by Fallujah, he suffered injuries to the right eye and right knee. I thank god for letting him live longer to become my beloved husband. Now as his wife, friend and companion I want him to know that I’m very proud of him and love him very much. His courage and determination to serve for our country makes him and all soldiers heros. Although his scars and memories cant be erased, time will give him the oppurunity to overcome his obstacles and enjoy life. My prayers go to all the families who unfortunely lost a loved one.
