Seven months after buying a Castle Pines estate, Bill Phillips has put the property back on the market.

Phillips, founder of Golden-based nutritional-supplement company EAS, is asking $8 million for Eagle’s Nest, a 17,000- square-foot home on 7 acres.

“This is the kind of house that, as a Realtor, if I had a family, I’d find a way to buy it,” said Julie Gelfond, an agent with Coldwell Banker Previews International who is listing the property. “The house belongs in Europe someplace.”

Built in 2001, the home contains a full- size bank vault and a hidden children’s play area with an indoor “treehouse.”

The kitchen has seven Sub-Zero refrigerators, a built-in wood-fire pizza oven and a commercial steak grill.

The house was built around antique fireplaces and columns that the original owner collected from throughout Europe.

At Eagle’s Nest, old-world charm is paired with modern technology. State-of-the-art automation controls lighting, temperature and humidity in each room, as well as security cameras and a snow-melt system.
