University of Colorado volleyball player Allie Griffin was named to the all-Big 12 first team, and teammate Ashley Nu’u was an honorable-mention selection. It is the second straight time being named to the team for Griffin, who led the Buffs with 4.64 kills per game. Nu’u, a setter from Aurora, has 1,402 assists this season, and is hitting .306.

Colorado will travel to Fort Collins to play Colorado State on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Moby Arena.

CC’s Sterling claims WCHA plaudits

Colorado College’s Brett Sterling was named the WCHA offensive player of the week. Sterling finished the week with four goals and an assist.

Metro State’s Curtis gets All-America mention

Metro State sophomore Gabrielle Curtis was named a 2005 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II honorable mention All-America selection.
