Cable couture.
I’ll say it again: Project Runway is a great show.
While they occasionally play up catty differences between contestants, and you wonder if some of the backstage drama might’ve been slightly contrived, it’s all overshadowed by the entertainingly fast-paced atmosphere that centers around art, expression, fashion, compromise, and competition.
Project Runway isn’t solving world hunger, and it’s not putting emphasis on international conflict, and it’s not furthering individual political activism, but it is telling how important art has become in driving personal value, trends, and commerce (all of the designers’ items are open for bid after each show) around the world.
If you’re interested in any of the disciplines I’ve described, and you’re not already watching, try devoting an hour tonight to Bravo’s most successful reality show.

Wednesday night trip to Paris.
Missing your favorite coffee house due to their remodeling?
Step next door, to the other side of Paris.
The wine bar offers an exceptional selection, as well as free Wi-Fi. So if you’re looking for a week-night shack-up in a place removed from noisy traffic, they’ll occasionally play movies on the wall or good sipping music.
A great mix of clientele and the same delectable menu as its coffee house older sibling, Paris Wine Bar is a great way to soothe the beginning of the week trembles.
