Months after he threatened his girlfriend, Wesley Jesse Jaramillo and the woman were found dead in her Northglenn home in what police believe was a murder-suicide, officials said Tuesday.
On Monday evening, a 17- year-old girl found the body of her mother, Jessica Hogendorn, 39, lying next to Jaramillo’s in the woman’s bed.
Both had bullet holes in their heads, and there was a small pistol next to them, said Sgt. Steve Garrow, Northglenn police spokesman.
Police believe the two died in a murder-suicide, Garrow said.
It is unclear which of the two fired the gun or what the motive was, he said.
On Sept. 22, Jaramillo, 41, was charged with domestic violence, making a telephone threat, theft and criminal mischief, according to court records. Jaramillo pleaded guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges and was sentenced in November to one year of probation, according to records.
He was charged with assault in 1992, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation records.
