The Colorado men’s basketball program lost its second freshman recruit in two weeks when 6-foot-6 guard Daniel Brown was denied admission by the CU Admissions Office, the school announced Monday. Brown averaged 14 points and 14.5 rebounds for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., after transferring from Madison, Wis. Earlier this month, Dale Vanwright, a 6-6 forward from Houston, announced that he will attend a prep school rather than play this season for the Buffaloes. CU hopes to fill one of the openings with a Canadian, 6-10 Marc Van Burck of Regina, Saskatchewan.
