The inmate who led police to believe missing Aaroné Thompson was killed was given parole Thursday.
Eric Williams, 39, was approved for “discretionary release,” said Cheryl Ahumada, Department of Corrections spokeswoman.
Six-year-old Aaroné was reported missing Nov. 14 by her father, Aaron Thompson. On Nov. 15, Williams told police the girl wasn’t missing but had been killed in the family home and was buried in a field by Thompson and Lowe, according to social services documents.
Williams is serving time for an escape and drug charges.
