Mario Lopez is the front- runner on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” for a reason. The former “Saved by the Bell” co-star fibbed about his dance training to producers. A former dance partner from his days at the School of Creative & Performing Arts in San Diego told the New York Post, “We competed in and won several Southern California dance competitions. There’s video. He’s been in dance training since he was about 5 years old.” On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Lopez said, “When (a producer) asked me, I thought she meant, like, formal and ballroom dancing, which I’ve never ever done.”
Scarlett Johansson is happy with her hourglass figure and doesn’t want to be a stick-thin actress. “I’m curvy – I’m never going to be 5-foot-11 and 120 pounds. But I feel lucky to have what I’ve got,” she told In Style Weekly magazine. And there’s some brains behind all that beauty. “Whose life would I like to step into for the day?” Johansson said. “The president’s. I could probably get some things done in the Oval Office.”
Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston, who met as contestants on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” were married last week in Jamaica, People magazine reported. Hoover, who started the weight-loss reality series at 339 pounds, won the $250,000 grand prize. The couple lost a combined 252 pounds on the show. Preston won $25,000 as second runner-up.
Paul McCartney and Alec Baldwin can swap marital discord stories during their yoga class. McCartney, in the midst of a messy divorce from wife Heather Mills, and Baldwin met at a Hatha yoga class in East Hampton, N.Y., where both have nearby homes, contactmusic.com reported. Baldwin still is battling ex-wife Kim Basinger for custody of their daughter Ireland.
Liv Tyler, in an interview with the Daily Mirror in London, talked about losing weight after giving birth to her son Milo, 2. “Everybody told me that the weight would come off real fast after giving birth – well, that turned out to be a big lie!”
