Winter Park Resort announced Monday that it has worked with members of the Northern Arapaho tribe to name the chairlift and seven new trails it has installed on the backside of Parsenn Bowl. The new triple chairlift will be named Eagle Wind; trail names include Little Raven, Sharp Nose and Black Coal.

Simtek Corp., a Colorado Springs-based supplier of random access memory products, completed a sale of $4.6 million of common stock in a private placement. The sale consisted of 11.5 million shares at 39.5 cents per share.

The Safeway Foundation is partnering with YMCA of Metropolitan Denver and Mi Casa Resource Center for Women Inc. in the fight against substance abuse among youths. The foundation will award $10,000 grants to Mi Casa and the YMCA for programs to combat abuse among high-risk youths.
