Getting your player ready...

While defectively spelled ski sales want you to think they are the harbinger to the ski season, a better herald – besides turning lifts, of course – is the slew of snow flicks hitting the silver screen every fall. The nimble marketing minds at Aspen Skiing Co. are fueling the ski-movie stoke this weekend with a festival of wintry flicks. The Meeting, now in its second year, runs Thursday-Saturday and features six flicks from movie-making pros such as Teton Gravity Research, Level 1, Absinthe and Whiteout. Big-name athletes gather at The Meeting to promote their cinematic performances. Tickets to the movies are $5 each, $25 for a pass to all six. Visit aspensnowmass.com for more info.
