One juvenile is dead and another is in jail after a shooting in west Denver, police said.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said police were called to the 4900 block of West Hurst Place, southeast of West Sixth Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
“All I can say right now is there were two juveniles with a gun,” Jackson said. “One of them is dead, and we have arrested the other for questioning.”
He declined to identify the dead youth.
He said investigators weren’t sure if the shooting was the result of a fight or an accident.
