TULSA, Okla.-
A woman has been has been arrested for stealing campaign signs. Virginia Howie, a supporter for current Associate District Judge Caroline Wall, was spotted Wednesday by witnesses stealing about 15 signs belonging to Dana Kuehn, who is challenging Wall in Tuesday’s elections, police said.
The witnesses confronted Wall and asked for the signs back, but she refused and drove away, officers said.
Witnesses got Howe’s license plate number and flagged down police.
Officers went to Howe’s house and arrested her on an accusation of misdemeanor larceny. She was booked into the Tulsa County jail and was released Thursday morning.
Tuesday’s election for the two candidates is nonpartisan.
