DENVER – Frontier Airlines plans to announce a partnership with fellow low-cost carrier AirTran Airways, whose hub is in Atlanta. Denver-based Frontier plans to announce the agreement this morning at a press conference in Atlanta, said Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas.
The partnership will allow Frontier passengers to earn Frontier miles on AirTran flights, and vice versa. Frontier’s elite frequent-flier members, called Summit and Ascent members, will get similar benefits on AirTran, and vice versa.
