Qwest said today that it has sold its Denver Service Center building at 1005 17th St. to Denver-based Miller Global Properties for $108 million.

The deal closed today. Qwest put the property on the market in June.

Mountain Bell started construction on the Denver Service Center in 1976 and opened the roughly 700,000-square-foot granite and glass facility in 1978. Rogers Nagel Langhart designed the building.

Most recently, Qwest housed a variety of work groups at the Denver Service Center, all of which have been in the process of relocating to other Denver-area locations operated by the company. Qwest will continue to base several of its operations throughout downtown Denver, including its headquarters at 1801 California St.
