New York – Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said vice chairman Suzanne Nora Johnson has resigned after 21 years at the firm, the second departure from the 23-member management committee in two weeks.

Nora Johnson, 49, the highest- ranking woman at Goldman, will give up her post Jan. 15, according to a proxy filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

She was one of the five highest-paid executives last year, with a $10.8 million cash bonus, $5.8 million of restricted stock options that the firm valued at $3.9 million and a $600,000 salary.
