LOUISVILLE – Louisville City Manager William Simmons is leaving his job after 12 years.
Louisville Mayor Chuck Sisk, in a written statement, said that the decision was “mutual” and did not arise from “specific disputes.”
“Bill’s service to the city has from day one been exemplified by the highest standards of leadership,” Sisk said.
Simmons began his career as Louisville’s city manager in January 1995. His last day is set for Feb. 28.
Simmons could not be reached for comment.
The City Council will discuss Simmons’ replacement in future meetings, Sisk said.
