DOW assists rescue
With more than 40 personnel and 28 snow machines, the Colorado Division of Wildlife since Tuesday has been assisting southeast Colorado ranchers and farmers with access to their property and livestock.
The agency brought in 30 district wildlife managers from across the state to assist employees of its Lamar office in the effort. DOW personnel worked directly under the command of the Colorado National Guard. DOW’s Lamar office, a former armory, is being utilized as the central staging area for the operation.
