Authorities were asking for help Sunday to find 68-year-old Ethel Fisher, who got lost driving to her son’s house and never showed up.

Fisher does not have any diagnosed medical issues. However, her family told Adams County sheriff’s deputies that she has been experiencing some memory loss recently.

About noon Saturday, Fisher left her house in Brighton and started driving to her son’s home in Commerce City. About 1 p.m., she called her son and told him she was lost.

She called him another hour later to tell him that she was at the Bennett Grocery Store in Bennett and that she got directions from someone there on how to get back to Brighton.

Fisher’s son asked her to keep in contact with him to keep him updated on her whereabouts.

About 5:30 p.m., Fisher’s son called the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to report that he couldn’t find his mother.

Deputies have searched every roadway along the eastern Interstate 70 corridor to Weld County, Washington County and Arapahoe County.

Fisher is described as 5-foot-3, 180 pounds, with red hair and hazel eyes. She wears prescription eyeglasses and was last seen wearing black pants and a red sweater. She was driving a green 1998 Chevy Malibu with Colorado license plate 078-IUP.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 720-322-1313.
