DENVER – The majority of Colorado’s lodging properties don’t plan to make significant changes as a result of the minimum-wage increase that went into effect Jan. 1. Most estimate the total cost of the measure for the year at less than $10,000, according to the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association’s quarterly trends report.

An overwhelming majority – 90 percent – said they are spending more on renovations than they did for the same quarter last year but are spending less on upgrades and new construction.
