ASPEN – A former secretary and assistant to the late Hunter S. Thompson has until Tuesday to settle a pay dispute with the gonzo writer’s estate, or her case could face dismissal.

Deborah Fuller sued last year alleging Thompson’s estate owes her at least $100,000 in back wages. Court documents indicate she once “agreed to defer some of her wages due to financial difficulties Thompson was having,” but that Thompson didn’t meet his promise to pay her.

Fuller’s lawsuit was in danger of being dismissed after court officials said Thompson’s estate was never served legal notice.
