Mary Katherine Tynan Spierings is a senior at Regis Jesuit High School Girls Division.

Mary Katherine is president of her own music publishing company, MK Golden Music. Her first EP, “Take Flight,” is available from CD Baby and iTunes and can be found through visiting her website, mksings.com.

Last year, she performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center and for the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. She also sang before a Newman Center for the Performing Arts appearance by Immaculée Ilibagiza, a Rwandan genocide survivor and now an author and motivational speaker.

Mary Katherine has appeared in 32 musicals and plays, including Annie, Godspell and Oliver. She has also been active in choir, performing in the Select Choir, the Star-Spangled Banner Choir and the Chapel Choir.

She has a 4.21 weighted grade-point average and received a National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation.

Mary Katherine plans to obtain a master of business administration degree, while running her own artist development and music management and publishing companies, as she pursues her goals as a performer, songwriter and recording artist.
