GADGET|The iPulse is an iPod dock with a light show. This $149 unit has a speaker and subwoofer (a $99 model, without a subwoofer, is available) and is a surprisingly fun and engaging gadget. iPod owners looking for a complete audio-visual experience will be enamored of the iPulse. The iPulse offers decent sound quality and a cool light show, but it doesn’t include a remote, can’t run on batteries and there are no iPod controls on the unit itself. But for teenagers and light show enthusiasts, it could be a hit.
