Breckenridge, Colo. – An 18-year-old man from North Carolina died Tuesday after an unspecified skiing accident at Breckenridge Ski Resort, ski area officials said.
The victim’s name was not released. Resort officials said he was not wearing a helmet.
The ski patrol was alerted to the accident at 10:10 a.m., and the teen was taken to Breckenridge Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, resort officials said.
The Summit County coroner was investigating.
