Scott Eller Cortelyou, a long-time Colorado radio voice pleaded guilty today to two felony charges and will have to register as a sex offender.

As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Cortelyou is not expected to serve any time in prison.

Prosecutors said Cortelyou, 53, engaged in sexually graphic Internet conversations with a person he believed to be a 12-year-old girl, but who was really an undercover police investigator.

Cortelyou pleaded guilty to Internet luring and attempted Internet sexual exploitation of a child, both class 5 felonies, said Pam Russell, a spokeswoman with the Jefferson County district attorney’s office.

Cortelyou, of Conifer, was host of “Business for Breakfast” on KRCN 1060-AM and several sister stations around the state.

An investigation of Cortelyou began in August, and Fort Collins investigators worked with authorities from the Jefferson County district attorney’s office on the case. He was arrested at a radio station in Lakewood in January.

His sentencing date is scheduled for July 24.
