Honolulu – Six Hawaii nursery operators who claimed a contaminated fungicide made by DuPont Co. damaged their crops have settled their lawsuit against the chemical giant, lawyers said Wednesday.
The two sides reached the confidential settlement involving Benlate on Tuesday, one day before a judge in Honolulu was to start jury selection.
Warren Price, a lawyer for DuPont, said, “It was very much of a win-win.”
Stephen Cox, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, told The Honolulu Advertiser his clients also were pleased with the amount.
