GOLDEN, Colo.-

A former Jefferson County middle school teacher was sentenced Friday from 24 years to life in prison for sexually exploiting three of his students.

Marshall Walker, 34, faces supervised parole the rest of his life if he’s released from prison. He was convicted in February of 35 counts stemming from what authorities say were schemes to get students to undress to take sexually explicit photos of them.

Authorities said Walker developed relationships with three teenage boys at two middle schools from 1997 to last May, when he was arrested. He was accused of having sexual contact with the boys after inviting them to go to the movies, dinner or hunting.

Walker offered to give the boys such items as a gun and pornographic videos. He also offered to change a failing grade if the boys posed for sexually explicit photos.

Authorities said there are other victims and urged people with information to call the Jefferson County sheriff’s office.

Walker faces similar charges in Adams County. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in Brighton May 3.
