Folks in Fruita take their beverages seriously. Especially when it comes to the most important of all drinks: coffee and beer. The owners of Fruita’s Aspen Street Coffeeshop roast their beans and the effort is immediately evident in their Americanos. Their smoothies are equally fresh, and Fruita’s finest town greeter, Tater, makes sure everyone is grinning while they sip. Across the street, at the former Fruita Brewing Company, the Boneyard Brewery serves up hoppy-fresh brews with all sorts of BBQ. For a real taste of Fruita, fire up on an Aspen Street Americano or two, pedal 30 miles of Bookcliff singletrack and recharge on the Boneyard’s Chicken Scratch ESB and a bucket of beer-braised ribs, smoked over local fruitwood. After that you’ll be a Fruita fan for sure.
