The University of Denver women’s golf team was selected to play in the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship Regionals for the sixth straight year.
The regional tournament, hosted by Brigham Young University, will be played May 10-12 at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George, Utah. The top eight teams and two individuals will advance to the NCAA Nationals, May 22-25, at LPGA National Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Fla.
After winning the Sun Belt Conference for the fourth straight season, the Pioneers are seeded seventh for the regional.
Pioneer lacrosse seeded first for postseason
Denver’s women’s lacrosse team will be the No. 1 seed when the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation postseason tournament begins Friday at Aggie Stadium on the Campus of Cal-Davis. The Pioneers (15-2, 5-0), ranked No. 17 nationally in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association poll released Monday, will play in Saturday’s semifinals against the winner of Friday’s matchup between California and Cal-Davis.
Mesa takes favorite’s role into RMAC softball
No. 1 seed and host Mesa State earned a first-round bye for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball tournament, which begins Friday in Grand Junction. The Mavericks will take on the winner of CU-Colorado Springs; Regis. No. 2 seed Western New Mexico will face the winner of CSU-Pueblo and Nebraska-Kearney. The double-elimination tournament concludes Saturday with the championship game.
