The city’s Internet page reporting results from Tuesday’s election was inaccessible for some visitors to the site for nearly two hours after the polls closed.

A message said the site was overloaded.

Denver Election Commission spokesman Alton Dillard said he contacted the city’s information technology officials about the issue. He said one of three servers that run the Denvergov.org website had to be reset.

All the servers were up and running by 9:30 p.m.

The commission, which doesn’t oversee the website, came under fire in November when problems with software used to check in voters led to lengthy lines at the polls.
