GOLDEN, Colo.-
A 17-year-old Golden High School student who police said broke into a counselor’s office to change his grades has pleaded guilty to hacking into school computers, prosecutors said Monday.
The teen, whose name wasn’t released, was sentenced to a year of probation. He must perform 80 hours of community service and pay restitution, which has yet to be determined, the district attorney’s office said.
He pled guilty in juvenile court May 2 to a charge of computer crimes, unlawful accessing and altering.
The teen was arrested after a skylight was broken during a break-in at the school early Jan. 29. He also was accused of breaking into a counselor’s office.
