A high school senior from Littleton who died in a skateboarding fall after hanging onto a moving vehicle was run over by the Jeep, police confirmed today.

John Nicolette, 18, a Heritage High School student, died Thursday near the school at the intersection of South Windermere Street and West Meadowbrook Road.

“He lost control of the skateboard, and he fell under the car,” said Sgt. Trent Cooper, a spokesman for the Littleton Police Department.

The accident is still under investigation, and police said they have not decided whether to pursue any charges against Colin McEuen, the 18-year-old driver of the Jeep.
