Anaheim defenseman Chris Pronger became the third player in NHL history to be suspended for a Stanley Cup Finals game when NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell ordered him to sit for Game 4 because of his forearm to the head of Ottawa center Dean McAmmond. But Pronger is no stranger to being benched for disciplinary reasons. This is his second suspension this playoffs and seventh for his career:

June 3, 2007: With Anaheim, one playoff game for a hit to the head of Ottawa’s Dean McAmmond.

May 15, 2007: With Anaheim, one playoff game for an elbow to the head of Detroit forward Tomas Holmstrom.

March 14, 2004: With St. Louis, one game for kicking Calgary forward Ville Nieminen.

April 3, 2002: With St. Louis, two games for cross-checking Dallas’ Brenden Morrow.

Oct. 11, 2000: With St. Louis, one game for leaving bench for altercation for Atlanta’s Kelly Buchberger.

Dec. 17, 1998: With St. Louis, four games for high-sticking Phoenix’s Jeremy Roenick.

Oct. 29, 1995: With St. Louis, four games for slashing Washington forward Pat Peake.
