GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A man in his 30s died at the Bananas Fun Park go-cart track, but few details were released and the circumstances were still under investigation.
The victim, whose name had not been released, died at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said he had apparently been on an outing with his family.
“This appears to be accidental, but for now we are treating it as an unknown death,” police spokeswoman Linda Bowman said.
She said investigators did not know whether the man had any medical condition that may have contributed to his death. An autopsy was planned.
A message left for fun park owner Chris Burns after hours Thursday was not immediately returned.
