DENVER—Three companies in Colorado have raised nearly $1 billion in initial public stock offerings from January to June, a new report said.
The total compared with $800 million raised in all of last year by five IPOs involving Colorado companies, including restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. of Denver and Niwot-based shoe manufacturer Crocs Inc., the Renaissance Capital’s IPOhome.com report said.
A stock offering by Centennial-based National CineMedia, an in-theater advertising firm, generated $798 million in February, the report said.
Last month, BioFuel Energy of Denver, a development-stage ethanol producer, raised $99.7 million and Einstein Noah Restaurant Group of Golden, a bagel restaurant chain, raised nearly $90 million.
Nationwide, 115 companies completed IPOs that generated $26 billion from January to June, up 35 percent from the first six months of 2006, the report noted.
