SAVANNAH, Ga.—Two suspects wanted in connection with the killing of a fast-food employee in Colorado were arrested early Tuesday at a bus station here, police said.
Savannah-Chatham Metro SWAT team officers arrested Thomas Steven Johns, 17, and Anthony John Lowe, 21, at the Greyhound Bus Lines station just after midnight.
Police said they were wanted in connection with the killing early Sunday of Celia Meza, 30, who also used the name Annette Arraici in the United States because she was an undocumented worker from Mexico, said Susan Media, Arvada, Colo. police spokeswoman.
Johns and Lowe allegedly fled the area after robbing a Burger King in Arvada and shooting Meza to death. Arvada police were able to learn of the suspects’ plans, and worked with Savannah-Chatham police to capture the pair.
The two were arrested without incident as they stepped off a bus about 12:20 a.m.
Authorities in Georgia were holding the suspects pending their extradition to Colorado, police said.
