ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Western Union Co. said Friday it has appointed a new chief marketing officer to oversee branding and sales strategies.
Gail Galuppo, 43, is joining Western Union after serving as chief marketing officer at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore for two years, handling marketing in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Galuppo also has worked at a number of companies in the United States, including Sears Holdings Corp., GE Capital Card Services and Discover Card Financial Services.
Western Union Chief Executive Officer Christina Gold plans to make the official announcement about Galuppo’s hiring on Monday.
Based in Englewood, Colo., Western Union offers money transfer services through agents around the world.
