DENVER—Frontier Airlines CEO Jeff Potter will become chief executive of Exclusive Resorts next month when he leaves the airline, the privately held luxury destination club announced Monday.

Potter will report to Donn Davis, who will move from the chief executive’s position to executive chairman.

Potter headed Denver-based Frontier for five years, overseeing its growth as the industry has struggled with high fuel costs, aggressive ticket price and government-imposed travel restrictions.

He is leaving the airline on Sept. 6.

America Online co-founder Steve Case is the majority shareholder of Exclusive Resorts, which grants its members access to more than 350 upscale residences in 40 destinations around the world.

Exclusive Resorts, also based in Denver, has at least 3,000 members and a real estate portfolio of more than $1 billion.
