GREELEY, Colo.—A former 4th Congressional District candidate plans to enter the race again, this time challenging two Democrats for the party’s nomination.

Eric Eidsness said in a news release that he would face Betsy Markey and former candidate Angie Paccione in the primary.

An official announcement was planned Wednesday in front of the Weld County Democratic headquarters in Greeley

The former Republican ran as a Reform Party candidate in last year’s general election but became a Democrat in January of this year, saying the party cares about the same issues he does.

Critics have called Eidsness “everyway Eric” because of his changes in party affiliation, but Eidsness said he’s instead “everyone Eric.”

He said Republicans, Democrats and independents had encouraged him to run again.
