DENVER—AAA Colorado says gas prices are down, hotel rates are up and air fares are basically unchanged ahead of the Labor Day weekend.
The average price of regular unleaded in Colorado is $2.84 per gallon, 16 cents lower than Labor Day last year. The national average is $2.74 , down 11 cents.
AAA says average rates at mid-range hotels in Denver are up 14 percent. Air fares are nearly the same as last year.
