DENVER—Part of a bridge over U.S. 85 in Denver is closed after workers discovered deterioration of a concrete deck that supports a girder that shores up the bridge.
The deterioration could affect how much the bridge can hold.
Denver Public Works says it has closed the left eastbound lane of the Evans Street bridge in the interest of public safety. A 100-foot span will be closed for about one week for repairs.
