CASPER, Wyo.—The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission has authorized a 30-day public comment period on the state’s revised gray wolf management plan.
The revised plan will be posted Monday on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Web site at . The comment period will end on October 10th.
The commission also authorized the state Game and Fish Department to conduct four public meetings in Pinedale, Lander, Casper, and Cody.
The meeting schedule is: September 17th at the Pinedale Public Library; September 18th at the Lander Community Center; September 19th at the Casper state Game and Fish Department office; and September 20th at the Cody Holiday Inn.
Each meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will review the public comments before it adopts a final wolf management plan at its next meeting in November in Thermopolis.
Wyoming, Montana and Idaho are seeking to end federal oversight of wolves by each state taking over management of the animals within their borders.
