Commerce City police have arrested a suspect in the brutal stabbing death of a homeless man.

Herman Revello, a 53-year-old Commerce City resident, is being held in the Adams County jail on suspicion of first degree murder, Commerce City police said late Sunday. The announcement came one day after a 62-year-old man believed to be homeless was stabbed repeatedly in the chest near East 74th Avenue and Magnolia Street.

The victim was able to give police information on his attacker before he died at the hospital.

The victim’s name has been withheld while authorities try to contact his next of kin.
