California’s Shannon Yocum shot a 2-under-par 214 Tuesday for medalist honors at the Ptarmigan Ram Women’s Fall Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, leading the Bears to the tournament title.

Cal’s winning three-round team total was 4-over 868. Colorado and BYU tied for third at 891. Colorado State, the host school, tied for fifth at 898.

Cal’s Pia Halbig finished second at 216. CU’s Dominique Pytlewski was fifth at 218, followed in sixth place by teammate Julie Kim at 219. CU’s Lindsay Senger tied for 29th (225) and Stephanie Simich tied for 42nd (230).

CSU was led by Stefanie Ferguson and Natalie Stone, who tied for 21st at 224. Kasey Claussen tied for 29th (225) and Kayley Kempton tied for 49th (233).

Metro State selects assistant coach

Cherry Hills pair tops Pro-Assistant play

Clayton Cole and Bryan Heim of Cherry Hills Country Club won the Colorado Section PGA Pro-Assistant event at the Pinery Country Club in Parker. Cole and Heim had seven birdies as a pair and finished at 7-

under-par 65. Scott Lane and Shaun Fischer of Spring Valley Golf Club finished second at 6-under 66.
